Goose Creek has some of the oldest established pool inventory in the Charleston metro. Crowfield Plantation alone has over 3,200 properties — many with pools built in the 1990s and early 2000s that are now 25–30+ years old. Builder-grade plaster and aging gel coats weren’t built to last this long under Lowcountry conditions. Our thermo-polymer coatings give these pools a finish that outperforms the original by a wide margin.

Goose Creek’s pool landscape is dominated by established communities — not new construction. Crowfield Plantation, developed starting in 1981, contains 27 subdivisions with pools that range from 15 to 40+ years old. The Hamlets, Stratford Forest, Persimmon Hill, and Okatee sections all have significant concentrations of aging concrete and fiberglass pools. Many have been replastered once, some twice — and each replastering cycle lasts shorter than the one before as the substrate accumulates damage.
Newer communities like Liberty Hall Plantation, Longleaf, and Brickhope Plantation added pools in the 2008–2018 window, and those finishes are now entering their own failure timeline under Goose Creek’s inland Lowcountry conditions: sustained UV without coastal breeze relief, high humidity, and Berkeley County water that runs harder than Charleston’s coastal supply. Our thermo-polymer coating system addresses all of these factors simultaneously. It’s non-porous, UV-stable, chemically inert, and bonded to the substrate — not layered on top of it. Whether your pool has been replastered three times or has never been touched since install, we start with the shell and build a surface that lasts.
High-performance pool coatings built for Goose Creek’s inland Lowcountry environment, protecting residential and community pools with durable, low-maintenance finishes designed for long-term performance.
Goose Creek fiberglass pools are exposed to UV rays, humidity, heat, and environmental conditions that accelerate gel-coat fading, oxidation, chalking, blistering, and surface cracking. Our polyFIBRO® thermo-polymer coating bonds directly to the fiberglass shell, creating a flexible, UV-stable, non-porous surface designed to resist peeling, moisture intrusion, and long-term surface deterioration in demanding inland environments.
Concrete and gunite pools throughout Goose Creek often develop rough texture, staining, algae buildup, calcium deposits, and premature plaster wear caused by mineral-rich water, humidity, heat, and ongoing chemical stress. Our aquaBRIGHT™ thermo-polymer coating creates a smooth, non-porous, pH-neutral surface that resists staining, algae growth, mineral absorption, and repeated replastering cycles while delivering a longer-lasting finish for residential and HOA community pools.
From fiberglass blistering and surface delamination to structural cracks, leak-related substrate damage, and long-term plaster deterioration, we provide complete pool surface repair solutions for Goose Creek homeowners, HOA communities, and military families alike. Every repair begins with identifying the root issue before restoring the surface using advanced thermo-polymer coating systems engineered for UV exposure, humidity, inland heat, and long-term durability.
A pool in Goose Creek often represents the single largest outdoor investment a homeowner makes. When the surface starts failing — rough texture tearing up swimsuits, permanent staining that makes clean water look dirty, cracks that signal structural problems underneath — it affects daily enjoyment and long-term property value. For military families stationed at Joint Base Charleston, a well-maintained pool can be the difference between a smooth home sale and a price reduction at PCS time.
We don’t just cover up the problem. Before any coating touches the surface, we assess the pool shell for delamination, subsurface cracking, plaster bond failure, and water chemistry damage that’s accumulated over years or decades of use. We repair what’s compromised at the structural level — then apply a thermo-polymer finish that fuses to the substrate at a molecular level, creating a sealed membrane rather than a surface layer.
The result is a pool that performs better than it did when it was new. Lower chemical costs, dramatically less scrubbing, and a finish that holds its color and smoothness through Goose Creek’s long, hot swim season — year after year.
Goose Creek’s pool stock is older and more diverse than most Charleston-area communities. Crowfield Plantation alone spans four decades of construction — from the original 1980s sections through subdivisions built in the 2010s. That means we encounter pools with single-coat original plaster, pools with multiple failed replastering layers stacked on top of each other, fiberglass shells with paint applied over deteriorating gel coat, and everything in between.
Most pool companies treat resurfacing as a commodity — same process, same materials, regardless of what they’re working with. That approach doesn’t work in Goose Creek because the starting conditions vary so widely. A 35-year-old concrete pool in Okatee needs completely different prep work than a 12-year-old fiberglass pool in Liberty Hall. We assess every pool individually, address the specific failure modes present, and select the coating system matched to the substrate and environmental exposure. That’s why we can offer a 10-year warranty with confidence on every Goose Creek project we complete.

I would recommend them to assist with your fiberglass needs.Posted on Google Jorge AndazolaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ken and Ashley and their crew at SC POOL RESURFACING were absolutely amazing. It was nerve-racking to see all the work that needed to be done on our fiberglass pool. Our pool had a leak for years and I finally decided to do something about it. But this team came in, assessed the situation with ease and got right to work. They were meticulous and careful not to damage the newly applied ecofibro material, especially when it came to fixing the bulge in the middle of the pool and would require cinder blocks to hold everything down. So they placed the cinder blocks on top of two 2x4’s, but wrapped the 2x4’s with non-adhesive tape so as not to damage the newly applied fiberglass —- Very impressive. They cared for the pool as if it were their own, and best of all, I could tell they took pride in their work. Thanks you all for caring! You don’t see that these days anymore. Enjoy the before and after pics! Obviously I’m still working on the pool deck.Posted on Google Suzanne JTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I got a beautiful new looking pool and filter in two days. The filter works so much better and pressure is not even up to 10 three weeks later. Algae problem is gone. They were professional knowledgeable and did what they said they would plus. Love my new pool.Posted on Google Alex BishopTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What's the first thing that comes to mind when needing a big $$ job done? Can I trust these people? Are they going to take my deposit and ride off into the sunset, or maybe head to Mexico with a bunch of deposits and never do any work? Much to my surprise after having another company come out that does the same job and wanting a large deposit, this company said that I didn't need to give them .01 cent before they finished the job. We have a large pool (concrete and old) that had several layers of paint on it. They brought in a professional sandblaster company that did the job the right way. We could see that we had some cracks in the old concrete and needed some other work done before going forward. Again they recommended the best man for the job to fix all of that. It was an added expense, but no reason to fix things half ass. He fixed the cracks the correct way, not the good enough way, put new pvc pipe in, added 2 new returns, redid the skimmer box, and a couple of other things. Was it an added expense, of course. But, we didn't want to just put a bandaid on this pool. Now it was time for Ken and his team of professionals to come in and do their part, the part we we're waiting for. They were here at the time they said they would be. They got the pool ready like it was their own before starting. Then they got to work. They made sure to prep things the way they should, without shortcuts, putting several layers of the resin on the concrete. Their product bonds to the resin, therefore the concrete walls and floor. Then came the exciting part, watching them put the 3 layers of their Eco-finish product on with what looks like flamethrowers. As soon as they finished with the 3rd layer, the immediately were able to start filling the pool with water. They never once made me feel like they were in the category of a used car salesman. Always answered or returned my calls when I had questions. They came over and made sure the other guys were getting things ready for them to be able to do the final job. I would definitely recommend Ken and the people he recommended to do the job right. If you want to come look at my pool before doing yours Ken will happily give you my phone number to do so. We did have another person that does the same job come out before Ken, and they wanted I want to say 50% down, they were from almost 2 hours away, and we just didn't get the same vibe from them as we did Ken. Thank you Ken, Ashley and the rest of your people for exceeding our expectations and bringing brand new life to my wife's favorite part of our little Plantation. To many years of memories for our family and always remember HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE. The Anthony's.Posted on Google Emory HaganTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
